I managed the recruitment process, focusing on identifying participants who represented a broad cross-section of Mississippi's Black communities. My goal was to ensure the group reflected the diverse experiences and perspectives necessary for comprehensive feedback on the ACLU's outreach efforts.

I designed the focus group structure to foster open and honest dialogue on important civil liberties issues, while ensuring the discussion remained aligned with the ACLU's goals. As the moderator, I guided the conversation to encourage participants to share their personal experiences, concerns, and ideas for improving the campaign’s impact in their communities.

From designing compelling invitations to managing logistics, I handled all communication with participants. I ensured that every individual had clear information about the session, including the location, schedule, and expectations. I also remained available for any questions or concerns leading up to the event.

I selected a venue that was both accessible and welcoming, creating a comfortable environment where participants felt at ease to share their thoughts. I coordinated a menu that reflected the preferences of the group, ensuring everyone’s dietary needs were accommodated.

I worked closely with the camera crew to ensure the session was properly documented for further analysis. I directed the crew to capture key moments of the discussion while maintaining participant privacy and comfort. This ensured that every important insight was recorded for deeper review by the ACLU team.

Following the focus group, I prepared a comprehensive report that highlighted key themes, specific participant feedback, and critical insights. The report was tailored to provide the ACLU with clear, actionable recommendations on how to better connect with Black communities in Mississippi and improve the effectiveness of their outreach campaign.
